Jake Shockman is a dedicated educator and wind instrumentalist, specializing in saxophone. Jake’s musical journey started at 13 years old, studying with Scott Johnson, Tom Luer, Dr. Aaron Hedenstrom, and many other incredible educators. Since then, they have been a vibrant presence in the Twin Cities and the greater Wisconsin Area music scenes.
For the past four years, Jake has played Baritone, Tenor, and Alto saxophone in the Grammy-Award-Winning University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Jazz Ensemble 1, under the direction of Robert Baca. Jake’s playing blends technical excellence with a genuine emotional connection to the music. Jake is currently studying Music Education, passionate about spreading their love of music to young aspiring musicians.
