About Fletcher
Fletcher Myhre is a jazz and classical percussionist and educator based in Eau Claire, WI. He often plays jazz and improvised music, funk, R&B, rock, pop, hip-hop, and soul/neo-soul around the Eau Claire and Twin Cities areas and is able to feel comfortable in an array of musical styles. He has performed with numerous artists such as Geoffrey Keezer, John Clayton, Camile Thurman, Tom Luer, John Raymond, Gunhild Carling, Jennifer Grimm, Jim Self, S. Carey, Michael B. Nelson, Kenni Holmen, and Michael Andrew.
Along with performing, Fletcher teaches lessons locally in Eau Claire at Morgan Music and works with local schools teaching jazz drumset as well as classical and marching percussion.
Fletcher currently attends the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire where he plays in the Grammy nominated UWEC Jazz Ensemble 1, Symphony Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, and Percussion Ensemble. Fletcher has studied under names such as Sherrie Maricle (DIVA Jazz Orchestra), Robert Baca (Buddy Rich, Frank Sinatra), Jacob Wutzke (Caitlyn Gorgy), Joe Pulice (Woody Herman, Stan Getz), Dr. Jeffrey Crowell, and Dr. Brian Claxton.
